Dae Yoon Kang is a lead / senior visual effects compositor, and a multidisciplinary creative based in Los Angeles

I was born in Seoul, designed in Indonesia, and was assembled in NYC.  As far as I can think back I have always enjoyed the form of art. Growing up in the sub-urbs of Indonesia, drawing was my biggest hobby. I was never the outstanding artist but I used to freely express my imaginations on to a piece of paper. Naturally, visualizing an idea, a thought, or an image became something that I enjoyed doing. As a result, I came to enjoy the process of story telling with images. 

I graduated from School of Visual Arts in New York, and I began my career as a compositor. As a visual person, I always wanted to take part in creating visually striking images.  Thankfully, I've had the chance to throw people off an air-plane, I've made a car drive up a building, and I've had a purple monster abduct a lady from an office. I'm pretty sure that not many people get to do that. So it's been great, and I've had a lot of fun so far.
